A New Era of Pilates Instruction:
Movement Meets Opportunity
I’m Keightlyn, and I believe movement is medicine And travel is transformATIVE.
Movement and travel have shaped who I am. Now I’m on a mission to bring that same sense of connection, growth, and exploration to studios and instructors around the world. I grew up in Charlotte as a competitive swimmer, racing from the time I was eight years old. After retiring from competition, I coached swimmers ages 7 to 18, finding joy in guiding young athletes through growth and discovery.
But my passion wasn’t limited to the pool—I was also that kid who was obsessed with biology and human anatomy (still am!). I fast-tracked my education through an early college program, graduating with both my high school diploma and an Associate’s Degree in Biological Sciences. I went on to earn my Bachelor of Science in Biology from Queens University of Charlotte, where I immersed myself in women’s health, anatomy, and physiology.
And because I’m always up for a new adventure, I earned my Open Water Diving certification in 2018—exploring movement from a whole new perspective.
From General Manager to Travel Instructor to Founder.
After graduating, I became the General Manager of a Club Pilates studio, leading it from construction and presale through a successful grand opening and sustained operations. I quickly realized the challenge studios face when trying to find consistent, high-quality instructor coverage.
Local instructors were often booked, and finding trusted travel instructors was stressful. That’s when I earned my 500-hour Comprehensive Pilates Instructor Certification and became a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) in 2024. I stepped in myself—and soon became a travel instructor, teaching across the U.S. while pursuing my MBA at George Washington University, specializing in Global Business.
And then… Pilates On Tour was born.
Pilates On Tour solves the problem I saw firsthand as a studio GM—making it simple for studios to find skilled, certified instructors and for instructors to expand their careers through travel. I’ve taught in studios across New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, New York, California, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Idaho, and more. Pilates On Tour is currently US-based, with a clear vision to expand globally.
Growing up, I traveled often to my family’s homelands in the Dominican Republic and Jamaica, and I studied abroad in Ecuador’s Yasuni Rainforest—experiences that taught me one simple truth: we grow through exposure. That belief is at the core of Pilates On Tour.
